The Father's Heart Project, a joint effort of Door of Hope International and Petra Church, Vidin, Bulgaria, has completed it's first year of ministering the love of Jesus to the orphans in Belogradchik.
We ended the year with a Vacation Bible School held from June 17-21, 2002. Twenty-four children participated, varying from 5-16 years of age. We had thirteen volunteers from Petra Church who acted as daily small group leaders, engaging the children in arts n' crafts, sports, group discussions, and the discipline of journaling and prayer.
Our hope was to reveal God's love to these children who are without families through teaching the Bible in a relevant way and through modeling Christian forgiveness and relationship.
